Carolyn's Croft is named after my mother "Carolyn Mary Earl", who has been one of the most inspirational people in my life.
After working in a fab shop for many years, I decided to purchase some land and push myself in an agricultural direction. Just being in that industrial setting for so long gave me the desire to do something more natural, more outside. Starting out in the beginning of 2024, I decided to start with some cattle and make some improvements to land I purchased.
The land had a bunch of wild growth on the land so in the beginning it was difficult to even see what I had. After having someone come in and clear it with one of those rotary cutters on a skidsteer you could begin to see what this could eventually turn in to. After doing this it unearthed several natural springs on the property leaving a lot of surface water and very soft ground. That’s when I got the idea to have a pond built to collect all the water and the contractor I used suggested we pipe the springs underground to the pond. So we filled in the ravine which used to collect the surface water and created more pasture for the animals. With the springs piped underground the surface has dried up and the pond is filling.
For the Cattle, I decided to go with raising Wagyu since I only have enough land for so many cows. My thoughts were to have fewer animals but the best quality I could get. My maximum on cattle will be in the twenty head neighborhood. That pretty much concludes the very short history so far. Now the big question, where do we go from here?
At Carolyn's Croft, our mission is to learn to farm and produce the freshest, highest quality produce and meat products. We're committed to sustainable farming practices that protect our land and animals for future generations. We believe that by supporting local agriculture, we can help build stronger and healthier communities.
Our team at Carolyn's Croft is made up of myself and two other men which I would call farmers or at lease ranch man who are passionate about what they do. We work hard every day to ensure that our animals are well-cared for and that our garden is healthy and abundant. We're proud to be a part of the local farming community and we're always happy to share our knowledge and experience with others.

"We're told", the flat rock on the property was used by local Native Americans to crack wheat and grind corn many years ago. We like the story so we're keeping it and the rock too.
